Process of starting therapy
Connecting to a therapist can be stressful and feel uncertain. I want to be as clear as possible about how I work and the process of starting therapy with me.
Start with a Consultation
The process starts with a free, 20-minute, confidential phone or video consultation. This is time were you can let me know what you are hoping for in therapy, get to know me a little better, and find out if we are a good fit for one another.
To schedule a consultation:
call me at (424) 235-8130
Email me at AndrewIskandarLCSW@gmail.com
Directly access my calendar and book through Headway: https://care.headway.co/providers/andrew-iskandar?utm_source=pem&utm_medium=direct_link&utm_campaign=223522
Scheduling our first session and paperwork
If we choose to work together, we schedule at the end of the consultation or any of the ways listed above (call (424) 235-8130, email AndrewIskandarLCSW@gmail.com, or use the headway link above)
Once we have found a time that works for both of us, I will send you paperwork establishing that you are in my care, describing your rights as a client, and detailing the limits of confidentiality. After that, we can begin the process of therapy.
Fees and policies
If we choose to begin therapy together we would establish payment, fees, and policies before meeting.
Each session is 50 minutes long, typically, once a week. If you would like to meet more frequently, please let me know.
When you schedule your first appointment, a credit card is required. The card will only be charged after a session or if you fail to cancel with 24 hours or less notice.
Direct Pay (not using insurance):
Individual therapy is $220 per 50 minute session.
I accept direct transfer through Zelle or Credit Card via Square.
Insurance:
I currently take Aetna Health Insurance. To find out your copay, please contact your insurance provider.
I am happy to complete a Superbill for your Insurance company. Some insurance’s will refund some amount of out of network, out of pocket services. Please check with your insurance company before meeting with me.
